Performance Haiku
Staging Decadence salon
Rich Mix, London
21 Jan 2022
A performance exploring the theatrical body as a site of decadent existentialism: a carcass adorned, caught in the act of appearing and disappearing; of truth and of lies.
Both a vacant magic act and a ritualistic exorcism, the performance folds personal narrative with anecdotes from seminal figures of the post-apocalyptic queer occult including Genesis Breyer P-orridge, David Hoyle and 19th century Japanese poet Kobayashi Issa.
